Dig and Survive Controls on Every Device

Dig and Survive is built for PC, mobile, tablet, and console. That is a blessing until the HUD fights you. This page is the device guide: where the verified buttons sit, which actions you must be able to perform, and why this wiki will not publish a fake WASD overlay copied from another Roblox title. If a YouTube watermark shows a key that does nothing on your tablet, believe your tablet.

The game is a released free-to-play experience from im diggin it. Servers hold up to 20 players online. There is no local split-screen. Your hands are on one client. The town still expects you to dig, pawn, feed the generator, and hold nights, so the HUD has to work before any of those verbs matter. New accounts should pair this page with Getting Started. Everyone else should use it as a repair manual when Codes, bag, sprint, or interact disappear under a thumb.

What we will not invent

Roblox defaults differ by device, by shift-lock toggle, by touch layout, and by console button prompts. Publishing “press E to interact” as if it were a Dig and Survive unique bind would be a lie the first time a mobile player opened the experience. We describe actions, not fantasy keycaps:

• Move through the mining town.
• Sprint during the day (Sprint Boost makes this 25% faster in daylight only).
• Interact with the pawn shop, generator, codes UI, and world pickups.
• Open the bag and protect slots.
• Open Codes in the bottom-right, choose Enter Code, type a string, Claim.
• Fight, revive, and stay with the group at night.

If your platform’s Roblox settings let you remap, remap. If a prompt during the tutorial shows a button, follow that prompt; it is the only bind this wiki trusts. Completing those prompts is how First Steps pops. Skipping them because a streamer used a different overlay is how first nights feel broken.

HUD landmarks that stay true

Codes, bottom-right. This is the control we will keep repeating because it is the one players search for. It is not on the Roblox website, not in Discord, and not on the group page. You must be inside a server with the town HUD up. Full clicks for the only listed code (DigSocial, 20 Lucky Tickets) live on how to redeem and the live string stays on the codes hub. On a crowded night, wait for a quiet day minute. Inventory, death screens, and shop panels can hide the corner.

Bag. Treat it as a budget, not a junk drawer. How to dig scrap is the income page; this page only cares that you can open the bag on your device and drop trash before you need a med kit. Bag Boost adds +4 slots. That pass does not help if you cannot find the bag button under a mobile joystick.

Sprint. Daylight speed is how you chain pawn trips. Sprint Boost is 25% faster during the day. If sprint does not fire, you are not “bad at mining”; your bind or stamina UI is wrong. Fix that before you walk farther from town toward bosses. Faster legs will not save a night you started in a hole.

Interact. Pawn shop sales, generator feedings, and world pickups all fail if interact is a dead tap. Yummers requires you to feed Cheesy Bread to the generator. That is an interact job. If bread hits the floor, you missed the prompt, not the recipe.

PC, mobile, tablet, console

PC. Keyboard and mouse users still need to locate on-screen HUD buttons. Codes is a click in the bottom-right, not a browser bookmark. If you use shift-lock or first-person, re-check interact; camera modes hide prompts. Do not assume a friend’s key list matches yours after a Roblox settings reset.

Mobile. Thumbs cover corners. Rotate to landscape if the bottom-right Codes button is missing or if sprint sits under the camera stick. Tap targets shrink during a 20-player night wave; do not try to redeem DigSocial while undead are on the porch. Park, open Codes, paste, Claim, close, then move. Keep one bag slot visible so you notice when scrap has eaten the med kit.

Tablet. Larger glass helps, until you hold it like a phone and recreate the mobile overlap. Landscape, then the same rules: Codes corner, bag, interact. Tablets are fully supported; they are not a second game.

Console. Highlight the HUD with the controller, then use the on-screen keyboard for DigSocial. Enter Code and Claim are the same steps as PC. If a virtual keyboard inserts a space, delete it. Console players still redeem per Roblox account, not per couch. There is no split-screen; a second person needs a second client.

Bigger Lobby is a gamepass for more seats. It does not change binds. Free Revive Every Run does not fix a HUD you cannot see because you died behind a shop panel. Starter Cash ($500), Permanent Drill, and Double Gems do not remap controls. Rank those purchases on the tools list after the HUD makes sense.

Codes, classes, and why the HUD order matters

Redeem DigSocial before you panic-roll. Tickets are the F2P class key; Premium members may already have a starting class. Read the class overview and the class acquisition ranking so you do not dump Gems on the same account that still has 20 unused tickets. The Codes UI will not explain that. It only Claims.

Group rewards from the community page are a separate in-game claim. Do not paste the group name into Enter Code. Do not paste Discord messages. There is no official Trello. When a patch moves a button, check the B.L.O.X INTERACTIVE Discord, the updates hub, and the September 2026 log. The links hub keeps official URLs in one list.

Combat nights and busy 20-player HUDs

Night is when the overlay gets noisy. Close the pawn shop before the wave. Close Codes. Keep the bag shut unless you are swapping a med kit. Interact spam in a crowd will open the wrong prompt; back out and face the thing you meant to use. If a teammate is down, revive is an interact action too. Free Revive Every Run is a once-per-run safety net, not a reason to stand in a horde while you fiddle with settings.

Do not install a script that “auto-interacts” or auto-redeems. That is how accounts get banned and how 20-player towns get griefed. The auto-farm page is the warning. Legal speed is Sprint Boost in daylight and Permanent Drill while you are actually present.

A controls checklist before you leave town

1. Tutorial prompts followed; First Steps logic is “I can do the actions,” not “I skipped the overlay.”
2. Codes button found bottom-right; DigSocial claimed or already claimed.
3. Bag opens; trash can be dropped; a slot is reserved.
4. Sprint fires in daylight.
5. Interact opens pawn shop and can feed the generator.
6. You know you are on the official experience, not a copycat place with a similar thumbnail.
