Dig and Survive Getting Started Walkthrough

Dig and Survive is a released Roblox co-op survival game from the group im diggin it. You load into an isolated mining town, the dead are already walking, and servers hold up to 20 players online. This page is the first-hour plan: finish onboarding, claim the only listed code, convert daylight into Cash, and treat night as a defense exam instead of a sightseeing tour.

You do not need a paid class to start. Roblox Premium members receive a starting class. Everyone else should save Lucky Tickets and Gems until they have read the class overview and the class rankings. The loop on the official listing is simple on purpose: defeat enemies, dig for scrap, and uncover what is going on. Survival gets harder as new threats and bosses appear the further you go, so hour one is about not dying broke.

Finish the tutorial and First Steps

The onboarding is not flavor. Completing it awards the First Steps badge, which exists specifically for finishing the tutorial. Follow every prompt, learn how interact works on your device, and stay near town until you know where the pawn shop, bag UI, and Codes button live. If a prompt feels skippable, do not skip it on a first run — later badges such as Yummers, Survivor, Helping Hand, and What Comes Next? all assume you already understand day versus night.

After the tutorial, join the group if you want the listed group rewards, then bookmark the guides hub so you are not hunting menus while a night timer is running. There is no official Trello. Patch notes and social drops live on Discord (B.L.O.X INTERACTIVE) and on this wiki’s updates hub.

Redeem DigSocial before you spend anything

Open the Codes button in the bottom-right, choose Enter Code, type DigSocial, and hit Claim. That is the only working code listed on this wiki: it grants 20 Lucky Tickets. Full clicks live on how to redeem codes and the live list stays on the codes hub. Claim it on a fresh account before you roll a class or dump Gems. Tickets are the free roll currency; wasting them on a panic roll is how first hours go sideways.

Do not invent extra codes from random videos. If a string is not on the codes page, it is not a code we will tell you to type.

Day is income, night is the exam

Daylight is when you dig for scrap, walk it to the pawn shop, and turn junk into Cash. Cash buys the boring kit that keeps you alive: weapons and med kits, plus whatever fortify materials you can afford before sundown. Leave empty bag slots on purpose. A full bag of scrap with no room for a med kit is a wipe waiting for the first grab.

Night is when the undead push. Do not start a long dig with the sun already dropping. Come home, spend Cash, and stand a fight you can actually win. The night-defense habits that carry a run to Day 50 start here: short routes, early returns, and no hero runs into fog you have not scouted.

Bag space, sprint, and the first shop decisions

Bag space is a first-hour stat even if it does not look like one. The Bag Boost gamepass adds +4 slots. It is optional, but the free bag fills fast when you try to carry scrap, a weapon, and med kits at once. If you keep dropping valuables to pick up more scrap, you needed the slots an hour ago.

Sprint Boost makes you 25% faster during the day. That is a daylight tax cut: more trips to the pawn shop, more time to get home, less jogging through open ground. It does not make night safer by itself. Starter Cash begins a run with $500, which only helps if you spend it on kit instead of novelty. Permanent Drill is a long-run income tool, not a tutorial skip — details sit on the tools ranking and the scrap guide. Free Revive Every Run is a safety net you will care about after the first wipe, not before you know how you died. Double Gems and Bigger Lobby do not teach the loop; ignore them until the basics stick.

Read device-specific movement on the controls page if jump, sprint, or interact feel wrong. Roblox rebinds differ by platform; do not assume a YouTube overlay matches your tablet.

Class rolls, Gems, and Lucky Tickets

Currencies in town are Cash, Gems, and Lucky Tickets. Cash is the pawn-shop loop. Gems and tickets are how non-Premium players buy into a class. This wiki does not invent class names. Roll only after you have a feel for digging versus defending, then compare roles on the players hub instead of copying a random thumbnail.

A Premium starting class is a head start, not a win condition. Friends in a 20-player server still need scrap income and night discipline. Play the online co-op the listing asks for: call targets, share who is selling, and stop one teammate from kiting a boss-tier threat into spawn.

First night, then the real objectives

Survive night one, then pick a town objective instead of wandering. The generator wants Cheesy Bread and awards Yummers when you feed it. Quest lines award Helping Hand. Pushing a story path far enough awards the What Comes Next? ending badge. Combat volume toward 3000 kills is the Still Standing grind and should not be your hour-one goal. Distance from town is how new threats and bosses enter the run — treat farther as a gated difficulty slider, not a loot piñata.

If the first hour still feels noisy, print this order in your head: tutorial → DigSocial → one scrap loop → pawn shop → kit → home before dark → fight the night you prepared for. That sequence is the whole beginner kit. Everything else on the run checklist is a multiplier on a loop you already understand.

Hour two is not a new game. It is the same day/night split with slightly better bag discipline, a generator plan, and a rule that you do not chase kills outside the lights just because a teammate is shouting. If a video promises an instant ending, watch it for routing ideas, then come back to scrap, Cash, and a night you can actually hold.
