How Dig and Survive Classes Unlock

Premium, Lucky Tickets, and Gems — plus when to save the DigSocial stack.

How Classes Work

A class in Dig and Survive is a loadout identity, not a win condition. The mining town still runs on daylight scrap, pawn-shop Cash, and a night you can actually hold. This page explains how you acquire a class and when to spend. It does not invent class names. Dig and Survive has not published a public, stable roster this wiki will reprint, so we will not fill the gap with rumor titles from thumbnails.

Read this before you tap a roll. Rank the same three doors on the class acquisition tier list. Paid digging tools that are not classes live on the gamepass ranking. The parent players hub maps classes next to badges.

The three real doors

There are three verified ways onto a class.

Roblox Premium starting class. If you already pay for Premium, the game can hand you a starter before you have touched Lucky Tickets or Gems. Check whether that starter already fired before you spend anything. Premium is not required to play. It is a first-run shortcut for people who already subscribe, not a tax this wiki will tell a F2P player to buy.

Lucky Tickets. This is the F2P class key. The only confirmed code grant is DigSocial = 20 Lucky Tickets, redeemed with the Codes button in the bottom-right. Tickets are not Cash and they are not Gems. After Claim, look at the ticket counter. Twenty is a real stack and a real way to go broke in one nervous tap.

Gems. Gems are the premium-currency sink for class access when tickets are empty. They are honest: you know you are paying. They are also easy to overspend because the HUD will happily take Gems while unused DigSocial tickets sit in the same session. Tickets first, Gems second, never both on the same uninformed click.

That is the whole list of methods. Group rewards from im diggin it are separate gifts, not a fourth class door. Gamepasses such as Bag Boost and Permanent Drill change inventory and digging; they do not roll a class. Scripts that “unlock every class” are inf-item cheats described on auto farm scripts.

When to wait

Save tickets and Gems until all of the following are true.

  • The tutorial is done and First Steps has popped. You cannot evaluate a class mid-onboarding.
  • You have redeemed DigSocial on the codes hub so the 20 tickets are actually in the account.
  • You know whether Premium already gave you a starter. Double-spending is the classic mistake.
  • You have run at least one full day and night: scrap out, pawn, fortify, undead in. Getting started is that checklist.
  • You can dig scrap and get home without dumping the night kit to pick up junk.
  • You have a plan for bag space. A class does not add slots; Bag Boost does.
  • Someone in the 20-player lobby has said what the town is missing. Co-op value of a roll is “fill a hole,” not “the button glows.”

If any of those are false, keep the tickets. Twenty from one code is enough to matter later and not enough to waste on minute one.

When to roll

Spend after the wait list is done and one of these is true.

  • You still feel under-armed at dusk after a clean scrap-and-pawn loop.
  • You are pushing farther from town toward bosses and the current kit cannot travel.
  • You are committing to a long run such as Day 50 and want a stable identity before nights scale.
  • A teammate needs a role filled and you are the person with tickets, not the person already holding a door.

Do not roll because a video used a class name this page refuses to print. Do not roll because chat is spamming. Do not mix a few tickets with a few Gems and then forget which door you used. Count tickets, count Gems, count whether Premium already fired, then pick one door.

Co-op etiquette on 20-player servers

Dig and Survive is online co-op. A class roll is a personal menu, but the night is a town exam. If half the lobby AFKs in a class UI while the generator is dark, you did not “optimize.” You stalled the shift.

Practical rules:

  • One or two people roll while others pawn scrap and watch the clock.
  • Tell chat whether you are trying to cover daylight income or night hold. The loadout planner is the job board: scrap, generator, door.
  • Do not demand teammates spend Gems to match you. Premium, tickets, and Gems are account-level, not server-level.
  • A class does not complete Yummers, Helping Hand, or What Comes Next?. Those are badge objectives.

What a class does not do

A class will not:

  • Fill a bag that is already full of unsold scrap
  • Make Sprint Boost work at night (that gamepass is 25% faster during the day only)
  • Replace controls you have not learned on your device
  • Skip Free Revive planning on a long run
  • Feed Cheesy Bread to the generator
  • Grant any of the six badges

If your bottleneck is inventory, buy or play around bag space. If your bottleneck is swing time on a long grind, that is Permanent Drill territory. If your bottleneck is “I have no class,” that is this page: Premium if you have it, tickets from DigSocial if you do not, Gems last.

Keep the names honest

When the developers publish a durable official class list, this page will add named rows. Until then, ranking fake titles would be SEO spam. Watch the B.L.O.X INTERACTIVE Discord and the September 2026 update notes. There is no Trello. The updates hub is the rumor filter.

After you pick a door, go back to the town loop. Print the run checklist if you need a first-night order. Spend Cash at the pawn shop before sundown. Hold the lights. A class is a multiplier on a loop you already understand, not a substitute for showing up.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Dig and Survive on Roblox.

Why does this page not name Dig and Survive classes?

This wiki will not invent class titles. We document Premium, Lucky Tickets, and Gems. If an official roster is published, it will be added here and on the class tier list.

Should I spend DigSocial tickets as soon as I spawn?

Usually no. Finish the tutorial, confirm whether Premium already gave a starter, and survive one night. Redeem steps are on how to redeem codes.

Is Roblox Premium required for a class?

No. Premium is the best first-run method if you already have it. Everyone else uses Lucky Tickets or Gems. Ranking is on the class acquisition list.

Are Gems better than Lucky Tickets?

Tickets win on price because DigSocial is free. Gems are the backup after tickets are gone, and they pair with Double Gems on the tools ranking.

Does my class complete badges for me?

No. Badges still need the tutorial, Cheesy Bread in the generator, Day 50, 3000 kills, a quest line, or an ending.

Can a script unlock every class?

Treat that as an inf-item cheat. Read the auto-farm warning and use Premium, tickets, or Gems instead.
